71The Artist Becomes Immortal Through His Art
There is a hidden code in music that only musicians can decipher. It's a puzzling language that speaks to the core of the soul without the need of words - a dialogue that leaks through the hard shell of our rationale exposing the vulnerability of our emotions. It's overwhelming at times and impossible to explain to outsiders. It can easily be seen in the expressions of a performer playing live music. The facial expressions and body language will accompany the musician as he spills his heart out onto the instrument. The most intimate confession rolls from the performer's fingers onto the audience. While he does this, he is breaking the barrier of time and space and a direct spiritual communion between the creator of the composition and the performer takes place.
I truly believe that once a soul learns the hidden code of music, it will choose to continue down that path in the lives that follow. Once a musician, always a musician. It explains why I, like many others, was born with perfect pitch (the ability to recognize all notes by memory) as well as my childhood dreams where I saw myself playing a strange looking piano that sounded like a plucked string instrument with inverted colored keys, my wrists adorned with strange white ruffles. Obviously, it was the memory of a past life as a harpsichordist during the Baroque period, most likely.
Many composers, including Mozart and Brahms, declared that they were merely a tool used by a universal creative conscience to transport the music from its original source into our world. Mozart described his creative flow as falling into a state of trance, and warned others about the danger of losing control of our earthly reality. But, if all music has been written already, and it's merely waiting for someone to bring it down from its sacred throne into our ordinary lives, then who are these composers? Why are they the chosen ones to speak on behalf of the Muse? And why do musicians, as well as some listeners, feel connected to these men, in some cases as if he or she were still standing right next to us as we hear or play their music?
Spiritual Masters Of Their Trait
Although they lived lives far from perfect, the souls of the musical masters have achieved a higher spiritual level through the repeated lives devoted to the art of Music. You could say that they've been in school for many centuries and they have reached the genius level. Of course, given different circumstances these musically evolved souls might not have reached full potential, but I strongly believe the purpose of their lives is to inspire others that are beginning school, merely in primary grades. Therefore, full development of the soul's potential is granted and discussed in Heaven before reincarnation. Yes, that soul knew that he would go deaf and would have to continue writing music skillfully before it reincarnated as Ludwig van Beethoven.
When these Masters die, their music serves as a link to communicate with them. In fact, I strongly believe they become interested in people who manage to find a way to "break the code" of their music. Years ago, when I was practicing for an all Brahms program, I had a strange encounter with his spirit. At first, I thought that it was my imagination from spending so many hours sitting at the instrument playing his music, but when my sister, who was visiting at the time and who had never seen a picture of Brahms, described having seen a short old man with a long white beard smoking a cigar, dressed in a late 19th century men's suit; I knew she was referring to him. She had seen him inspecting the grand piano that I had purchased the day before. She woke up and saw him surrounded by a beautiful glowing aura. He noticed her, smiled, and kept on examining the piano. Then he disappeared.
I haven't felt or seen him ever since I gave my piano playing a rest, I know he is not one of my Spirit Guides. Like many other composers, he serves a higher purpose - to inspire humanity. But I'd never felt so blessed to be clairsentient (to feel the souls of the departed). I hope one day he pays me another visit. Until then, I will cherish my experience as one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

Enjoyed the read.
Very moving story. Many artists portray that something possessed them to make them great performers. Anything creative in itself only comes into existence through the discovery of the higher self. The higher self is the concept of angelic being, Angels that work on a higher plane to be creative.
Many professional artists say that a spirit came into their life to make them so great at what they do. In some cases artists say that when they performed it was not them performing but the spirit of another performing through their body. They refer to spirit possession (mostly portrayed as an evil thing) that empowers them to be successful and professional.
I believe that spirit possession exists, but not all possession is associated with evil. Angels and Demons have always existed but merely represent the higher self or the lower self.
Within we are all spirit and we either connect to Eden or hell. If we attract either we can be empowered by the spirit to either be creative (higher self) or destructive (lower self).
I particularly liked the way you described memory with music. How we can remember certain musical language (tones and vibrations of harmonics) that empower us to eXperience the higher self to be creative. This I wholeheartedly agree with because stored in our memory is everything from past lives, wisdom and connectedness to all that is. We as a species have forgotten our way and also misinformed and suppressed of creative thought. Instead of a being in control we are being controlled for we have been tricked to follow patterns, structures and systems to keep the human mind enslaved from knowing its full potential. Once we learn how to think outside of the box, eXperience the unknown and fully realise that we KNOW nothing at ALL because NOTHING exists for EVERYTHING expands and transforms. Energy cannot be destroyed but can be transformed and EVERYTHING in the universe is an expression of energy. When someone says they KNOW what they are saying is that they KNOW nothing, because there is NO End and NO beginning, life is but a DREAM in the divine mind. The structure of the universe is consciousness and in its true form energy. We either attract Eden (higher self, positive charge) or Hell (Lower self, negative charge). By saying we KNOW we limit our self. We try to explain INFINITY with a FINITE understanding. Quantum Physics tells us that everything is a opened book of possibilities, everything is possible and nothing is impossible. We only RIDE the time of possibility but our true form can only be transformed and not destroyed. That true form being energy or spirit.
Well written and expressive hub Kiarawieck.
....this is why I'll follow you into the spirit world ...your intellect and passion is an unbeatable combination as a writer! And once again - a very intriguing, thought-provoking hub! Bravo to you - it`s music to my ears!!!!
Hi Klara, interesting that you have perfect pitch. When I was in High School, the Madrigal group I was in gave a concert where I would stroll out from the bleachers singing "Won't you buy my sweet blooming lavendar" cued by a pitch pipe while the round table of singers got their pitch from the teacher who, you guessed it had perfect pitch. The effect was amazing.
While I personally don't believe we have other lives, I do believe that we can be in contact with timeless spirits and a God who exists outside of time and therefore can reveal details of the past and future as we need. Daniel in the Bible is an example of one who desired to know the future and was rewarded--giving the exact mathematical time when the Christ would go through Jerusalem on what we call "Palm Sunday." I am pausing like the Lakota to allow you to reply and I may even be able to hear before you speak as I think we can do that sometimes. I really enjoy the dialogue and I hope our different perspectives on things that exist do not prevent rich discussion. Consider the idea that what you call past lives is the ability of the divine to give us the richness of the past when we need it. If we are created and are spiritual beings, whether we are punctuated in time by separate lives or are given the real experiences of others supernaturally as well as reading about them seems immaterial to me. (No pun intended) This allows those past lives to have their own identity without us "claiming" them as our own. Just saying. I would be honored if you would consider the idea.
Now back to music. I believe there is a relationship of music to mathematical concepts which is the basis for creation of things in the physical world. For example, once the math was accomplished by Einstein and others, the atomic bomb was able to be built. I think sometimes that music is like that--we intuitively create mathematical/musical structures that properly qualified engineers could transform into physical wonders. Until then, we who create or enjoy music can transcend and yet more perfectly enjoy the world we live in.
Sorry about the mini-hub. Just got carried away. Thank you for the discussion. =:)
Thank you, K, for describing these beautiful connections. The physical world distracts us and we frequently forget to see all of the beauty around us. Thanks for reminding us.

Music plays a great role in my life, also. This article is an inspiring piece of art in itself!
